Who is Eligible
- Open to all photographers world-wide.
Invitational Rules
- All photographic processes and formats are eligible.
- Images made in any location worldwide are eligible.
- Images must be in keeping with ICP's Mission.
- You may enter as many categories as you like, but you may only submit up to 4 entries per category.
Digital Manipulation Guidelines:
- Heavily manipulated images will not be accepted. Color and contrast adjustments, sharpening, burning and dodging, etc. will be accepted within reason so long as it does not alter the subject content of the original image.
2008 Categories
Each image must belong in one of the following categories (images will be reassigned to a different category if deemed appropriate):
Landscape
Depicting the beauty and diversity found throughout both the protected and unprotected natural landscapes of the world.
Wildlife
Depicting the diversity of animal species, their behavior and habitat, including endangered species.
Flora
Depicting the beauty and diversity of plants throughout the world, including endangered species and ecosystems.
Underwater
Depicting the beauty and diversity of marine or freshwater animals or plants.
Indigenous Cultures
Depicting the value of indigenous and tribal people in their natural environment.
Documenting a Conservation Project
Provide up to 6 images documenting a conservation project in which you are personally involved.
Environment at Risk
Depicting the diversity of environmental issues and humanity's positive and negative impacts throughout the world.
Puget Sound at Risk
Depicting the environmental issues and humanity's impact on Puget Sound.
Student
Images from participants either enrolled full-time in school or under the age of 18 as of April 1st, 2008 that pertain to any of the above categories.
Dates to Remember
The entry period for the 2008 contest is now closed. The next entry period will open in January 2010.
The 2008 ICP Awards Exhibit will be displayed from August 30, 2008 until October 12, 2008 at the Museum of History and Industry, located in McCurdy Park at 2700 24th Avenue East, Seattle, WA.
